Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Represents a Online Gaming Game Master's Fantasy

After a brief run earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned for a limited time available through early December. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by ProFantasy Software over the years, the complete package carries a value of over $1,300. Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
