I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
